About Soulmate
Soulmate is the result of our desire to blend several guitar characteristics into one guitar. We like the single cut-away design but we know that there are people who find it difficult to get used to the big neck-to-body angle. Sometimes it can get difficult to play fast and technical using a guitar with the strings positioned far away from the body surface. In addition we liked the idea of creating a single-cutaway guitar with a floating tremolo bridge. We build this beautiful guitar using hand selected tonewoods and carefully selected hardware. Made to rock your world in every musical style.
Tonewoods
Soulmate body is made off a beautiful booked-matched, high figure Maple top and a Mahogany back. Rich, Vibrant and foul tone that fits perfectly to those rock sounds we have known from blues and rock music. The neck is also made of high figure flame Maple and the fretboard is made of American Walnut.
Contours
Soulmate features many contours that serve for playability and looks. The Neck profile is a custom designed BMC D Tapered shape. Easy to play solos on higher register as well as chording at the first frets. The profile changes as we go from the nut to the fretboard in a way to feel comfort and easy. Designed to fit in your hands in a way that your old and trusty guitar will do.
Hardware
Soulmate features the Mannmade tremolo bridge. It is a floating bridge that sits on all six mounting screws. Each screw has a knife edge and in this way the tremolo device ensures stability without the unwanted friction of the multiple screws. The Tuners are auto-locking and staggered. They provide quick and easy string changing, as well the tuning stability we need when the guitar features a floating bridge. The Nut is an auto-lubricated black Tusq XL. Perfect for tone and stability.
Buzz Feiten Tuning
Soulmate features the Buzz Feiten Tuning System. We really couldn't resist to the benefits of tuning compensation. We created Soulmate for demanding musicians and we know that good intonation is a must have feature. Take a look at the "Quality in Depth" section for more concerning the BF tuning system.
