About Peregrine

Peregrine is our finest when it comes to double-cut guitars meant to play a variety of musical genres. It may be a classic style guitar or a metal beast. Just select the right bridge, nut and pickups for your purpose and get into the BMC world of tone and playability.

Bridge

Choose Between a non-locking / recessed Gotoh 510 bridge, a fixed bridge or a locking tremolo of your choice. If locking tremolo is what you wish for, we recommend the Tremoline Tremolo. We are surprised from this device. It is small, looks good and hold the tuning unbelievably well.

Tonewoods

You can choose between several options of tonewoods to create your unique Peregrine guitar. You may go with our base specs if you like being traditional or you may experiment, using exotic and unique pieces. Most of the available combinations work well and will bring some character into the "mix". Although we respect your need to experiment with your dream guitar, our experience in guitar building has shown that it is best to lean towards some combinations yet avoiding others. In any case, we are here to discuss your need and talk about what works well concerning the vibration of the instrument.

Pickups

Peregrine pickups may be anything you know and like. However, If you prefer our own BMC made pickups you will get a great set of pickups designed and built for versatility. The Peregrine Pickup set consists of one Humbucker and 2 single coil pickups. We recommend choosing between HSS and HH configurations but you may go for P90s or active solutions. It is up to you !

Inlays

Peregrine features the BMC origami bird inlays. You may choose between several kinds of inlays or no inlay at all. Be creative and choose what you like best. If you want to personalize your Pilgrim more, you may ask us to create customized inlay work.

Electrics

Peregrine features a five way CRL switch for Pickup selection. The Tone Pot is a Push-Push selector that allows for partial coil tap of the humbucker. This means that you get a usable and musical single coil sound from the humbucker, that combines perfectly with the mid pickup at position 2. You will also get a resistance correction for the single coils due to the 500k volume pot of the guitar. This means you have 500kOhm reading for the humbucker and 250kOhm for the single coils. Best of both worlds in the same guitar.
